Brian Sales - Service Manager
Brian is an 'A' grade mechanic with 33 years’ experience in the automotive industry, carrying out car repairs in NZ, England and New Guinea. Brian trained in automatic transmission repair after being overseas, and started Mainstreet Transmissions Ltd in 1980. This has grown steadily over the years, and we have been in our current workshop since 2003.

Mervyn Colgan - Manual Transmission Technician
Merv is a qualified mechanic with 40 years’ experience. Merv has been with Mainstreet since 1989. For the past 20 years, Merv has specialised in automatic and manual transmissions, with special expertise in Torque converter repairs and older manual transmissions. When it comes to manual transmission repair in the Waikato – you can’t go past Merv.

Albert Bautista - Automotive Technician
Albert has been employed with us since February 2005. We helped bring Albert and his family over from the Philippines, where his last job was with Mitsubishi Motors as an automotive mechanic for 10 years. He has been a qualified mechanic since 1994, and his expertise regarding car repair is of real value to the team. Albert loves New Zealand and is one of our best employees.

Yvette Martin - Office Manager
Yvette has been involved in the motor industry for many years and has lived in Hamilton most of her life. She is married and has a son, who both race circuit cars (and who crews). Yvette is always ready to assist Mainstreet's Waikato customers with general queries, bookings, or those wishing to obtain finance for their manual or automatic transmission repair.
