Brian Sales - Owner

Brian is an 'A' grade mechanic with 33 years experience in the automotive industry. He has experience in NZ, England and New Guinea. Brian trained in automatic transmissions after being overseas, and started Mainstreet Transmissions Ltd in 1980. This has grown steadily over the years, and we have been in our current workshop since 2003.

Mervyn Colgan - Manual Transmission Technician

Merv is a qualified mechanic with 40 years experience.  Merv has been with Mainstreet since 1989. For the past 20 years, Merv has specialised in automatic and manual transmissions, with special expertise in Torque converter repairs and older manual transmissions.

Phillip Sales - Transmission Rebuilder

Phillip is Brian's son and has been with us for 14 years. He started off as a mechanic, learning all the different jobs we do. Since 1996 Phillip has been full time rebuilding automatic transmissions, diagnosing transmission problems, and fault-finding using the latest scanner available. Phillip is left in charge if Brian is away.

Albert Bautista - Automotive Technician

Albert has been employed with us since February 2005. We helped bring Albert and his family from the Philippines where his last job was with Mitsubishi Motors as an automotive mechanic for 10 years. He has been a qualified mechanic since 1994. Albert loves New Zealand and is one of our best employee's. He holds lots of awards with his last employer, like Best Attendance Record 2001 and 2002.

Yvette Martin - Office Administration

Yvette has been involved in the motor industry for many years and has lived in Hamilton most of her life. She is married and has a son. Yvette is always able to help Mainstreet's customers with any queries when they call.

Yvonne Steeghs - Customer Sales & Services Representative

Yvonne has lived in Hamilton all her life and is married with 3 children. She has an interest in motor sport due to both her husband and son having teams in Open Wheelers and New Zealand V8's. Yvonne will be out and about visiting existing and new clients.
